Project Poja 2063
It all begins with an idea - how can an educational game inspire a new generation of young leaders for Africa?
A fun, Afro-centric, group-based leadership game designed for teenagers. Project Poja 2063’s world introduces players to a set of scenarios to build soft skills, like issue prioritisation, negotiation, iteration, and political engagement, through interactive, narrative-led governance challenges pulled from the African Union's Vision 2063.
Players aged 14 and above are guided through simulations where each must make decisions for the greater good of the whole group, encouraging a communitarian approach to political decision-making (Ubuntu). Scenarios include realistic climate change disasters, social and economic prioritizations, and incentives through the game.
The first play session of the game will be hosted in May 2025.
This project is delivered with support and collaboration from the African Leadership Academy’s Anzisha Prize, with funding from the Mastercard Foundation’s Fund for Alumni Start-Ups (FAST).
